Lilian and I had a unique friendship and one I cherished dearly. We both loved our lobster, our chocolates, nuts, and candles…and of course, our doll collections. Whenever we’d discuss our dolls, she reminded me that she had the soul of a little girl herself. I think that’s what I loved most about her. I always felt so very honored to be in her presence on so many occasions as each time I’d go away more inspired than before. My heart hurts…because I was not ready for her to leave. I guess with one so beautiful and radiant, both inside and out, as Lillian was, that time of leaving would always be too soon. May she rest in peace. Sheri
I ran across this poem that states so succinctly what I feel, but cannot put into words…so I offer it as a tribute to my dear, sweet friend, in celebration of her long and wonderful life:
Tribute to Lillian in Celebration of Her Life
“The beauty of the trees,
The softness of the air,
The fragrance of the grass,
And the life that never goes away,
They speak to me
And my heart soars.”
Chief Dan George
Sheri, thank you. She and I both prized your friendship with her. It brought her such joy, she viewed you as an extremely special person. She loved visiting with you. -Mary
